Swift Transportation Company recently announced a new website, joinswift.com, which was created to recruit new drivers to the trucking industry, as well as to the company.
"This is a cutting-edge website that provides prospective Swift drivers with a large amount of information in a format that is easy to navigate and exciting to browse," said Scott Barker, vice president of safety, recruiting and driver development for Swift. "Whether a person is new to trucking or a veteran of countless miles, there are opportunities with Swift Transportation and this new website provides a clear picture of the various career paths available."
Drivers with the necessary CDL training can use the website to see the open opportunities at Swift, and also read about past experiences from other drivers who have worked at the company.
Another effort in truck driver recruitment will come at the year's Mid-America Trucking Show, which is projected to have more than 70,000 attendees, reported Tire Review.
The source said the event will features a driver recruitment and wellness center, as well as a number of other resources for members of the truck driving industry.
