When fleet management owners are handling their expenses, they may feel overwhelmed when it comes to organizing taxes owed for their trucks. However, the latest technology is making this process similar for those involved in keeping the books for the trucking industry.
Recently, taxsoftware.com released a smartphone and tablet application, or app, where fleet managers can file their heavy highway taxes. This coincides with anew ruling by the IRS, which now permits this specific form to be filed electronically.
For a small fee, truck company owners can download the program on their iPhone or iPad and fill out the required information. Just as on the taxsoftware.com website, owners then pay a filing fee and can send the file via wireless connection or 3G/4G phone capabilities. Those using the app for the first time can visit the business' website to find instructions on the proper use of this new system.
