FAB Express to use VeriWise Dry Van management system

Created: Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 03:01 pm

FAB Express recently announced it has selected VeriWise Dry Van management system, which the company believes can improve fleet management for its 1,000 cargo trailers, using GPS-based tracking technology.

Fleets using the VeriWise Dry Van solution can benefit from using real-time data to improve efficiency, as well as utilize technological advancements such as real-time two-way communications via satellite network and patented power management technology.

"Our customers wanted to get better visibility of their materials in transit, to help increase the velocity of their supply chain," said Fred Bartuch Jr., president of FAB. "After a competitive review of several systems, we chose VeriWise Dry Van from Asset Intelligence because it delivered superior functionality and reliability."

Another type of software trucking companies can benefit from is maintenance software, Greg Walsh, director of maintenance for New World Van Lines, told Fleet Equipment magazine.

Walsh told the magazine the software allows him to more efficiently direct vendors to certain locations, as well as figure out what units need service, which can help companies figure out if they need to replace trucks that are in for maintenance.
